Gus the Dog in Bangor Maine Meet This Special Companion

Featuring humane society bangor maine and adoptable dogs bangor maine

Gus, a 3-year-old large mixed breed male, arrived at the Bangor Humane Society as a stray, bearing the physical and emotional scars of his past.

Upon arrival, Gus was notably nervous and suffered from bilateral entropion—a condition where his eyelids rolled inward, causing discomfort as hair and skin rubbed against his eyes.

Thanks to the dedicated care at the Bangor Humane Society, Gus underwent corrective surgery and is now on the path to recovery.

Physically strong, Gus requires an owner who can confidently handle him, providing the structure and guidance essential for his sense of security.

One of Gus's favorite things is treats, which can be a great way to start building a positive relationship with him.

Patience and understanding are key, as Gus may take time to adjust to a new environment.

His journey hasn't been easy, but for the right person, helping Gus learn that the world can be a safe and positive place will be incredibly rewarding.
