MESA-Maine: Strengthening Endurance Sports Across the State

New Nonprofit Aims to Preserve and Grow Maine's Running Traditions

The Maine Endurance Sports Alliance (MESA-Maine) has officially launched, marking a significant milestone for the state's running and endurance sports community.

This newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to preserving, organizing, and expanding community-based running events throughout Maine.

By assuming management of several well-known races previously organized by Lifestyle Sports Global, MESA-Maine ensures that these cherished events continue seamlessly.

Participants who have already registered for upcoming races can rest assured that their registrations remain valid under the new nonprofit structure.

This transition to a nonprofit model fosters deeper connections with the communities hosting these events.

MESA-Maine plans to collaborate closely with municipalities, volunteers, sponsors, emergency services, and local organizations to support not only the races themselves but also the broader economic and community benefits they bring.

Beyond race management, the organization's mission encompasses promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging volunteerism, and supporting local causes through endurance sports.

By centralizing operations under a nonprofit umbrella, MESA-Maine aims to ensure stability, transparency, and long-term sustainability for Maine's growing running and endurance community.
