Shawarma restaurant in Bangor Maine

Featuring authentic Armenian cuisine and delicious Lebanese cuisine

Bangor's culinary landscape is about to get a flavorful boost with the grand opening of Dreamer Food on Wednesday, February 18.

Located at 97 Allen Street, this new establishment brings a taste of authentic Armenian and Lebanese cuisine to the heart of the city.

What began as a seasonal food truck on the Bangor Waterfront has now blossomed into a year-round dining destination.

Co-owners Anik Derphilibossian and Kara Calor, both nurses by profession, have poured their passion for cooking into this venture.

Derphilibossian, an Armenian native who immigrated from Lebanon in 2021, started by sharing her homeland's flavors with friends.

The overwhelming community support led to the launch of the Dreamer Food truck in May 2024, offering dishes like shawarma and Mediterranean specialties.

Now, with the opening of their brick-and-mortar location, they aim to provide a consistent and inviting space for patrons to enjoy their unique offerings.

The new restaurant features an open kitchen layout, encouraging interaction between guests and the culinary team.

Situated in the family-friendly Fairmount neighborhood, the location boasts outdoor seating for warmer months, enhancing the dining experience.

As Bangor's food scene continues to evolve, the addition of Dreamer Food underscores the city's growing appetite for diverse and authentic cuisines.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to join the festivities on opening day and savor the rich flavors that Dreamer Food brings to the table.
