Stella adoption in Old Town Maine with a meet and greet

Learn about female dog adoption and how to schedule a dog meet and greet

Meet Stella

Stella is around 4 years old, and one thing about her—she loves BIG.

When Stella bonds with her person, she gives her whole heart.

Her loyalty runs deep, and once you’re in her circle, you’re there forever.

Like many dogs who haven’t always felt safe in the world, Stella just needed a little extra help learning that not everything is as scary as it seems.

That’s why she is currently in training with Christine, and she has been working SO hard.

In just her first weeks, she’s already making meaningful progress—improving her leash manners, practicing her “come” command, building confidence, learning how to settle, and most importantly, discovering that people can be kind and safe.

The sweetest part?

She and Christine were instantly besties.

Once Stella feels comfortable, her affectionate, goofy, and deeply loving personality really shines.

Stella can be reactive toward men and tends to feel most comfortable with women, so she would likely do best in a female-led home where she can continue building trust at her own pace.

With the right guidance, patience, and understanding, she is continuing to make great progress.

Because trust is so important to her, Stella will need multiple meet and greets with her potential adopter to build that bond before heading to her forever home.

She thrives when given time, patience, and consistency—and we promise, she is worth every bit of it.

Stella will do best in a home committed to continuing her progress with structure, encouragement, and lots of love.

In return, you’ll gain a fiercely devoted companion who will love you bigger than you ever imagined.

If you’re ready to meet this incredible girl, please call or message us to book a meet and greet with Stella.

Her forever home is out there—maybe it’s with you.
