Dog adoption opportunities in Old Town Maine

Learn more about our animal shelter and adoptable dogs

At the Animal Orphanage in Old Town, Maine, a variety of adoptable dogs are eagerly awaiting their forever homes.

One such dog is Cookie, a 5-year-old with a sweet and silly disposition.

Initially shy, Cookie warms up to people and reveals her fun personality.

She enjoys car rides, knows basic commands like "sit," and walks nicely on a leash.

Cookie has been diligently working on building her confidence around new people.

While she could benefit from continued training, her eagerness to learn makes her a joy to work with.

Having lived with other animals in the past, Cookie may do well with them again if given proper introductions.

She would thrive in a home with older children who can respect her space as she settles in and builds trust.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to show her true self, Cookie might be the perfect match for you.

The Animal Orphanage is a no-kill shelter dedicated to providing care and shelter to stray and abandoned animals.

Located at 71 Airport Road, Old Town, ME 04468, the shelter operates Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.

They are closed on Sundays.

For more information on dog adoption and to meet Cookie or other adoptable dogs, visit the shelter during operating hours.

Adopting a dog not only provides a loving home to an animal in need but also brings joy and companionship to your life.

Consider visiting the Animal Orphanage to find your new best friend.
