Trivia QuestionâWhich classic Maine candy, invented in the 1920s and still popular today, combines potato, coconut, and chocolate?A) Whoopie Pie Answer at the bottom of the newsletter |
We Mainers are constantly complaining about the weather, and this past week gave us plenty to complain about. Cold mornings, windy afternoons, and just enough sunshine to trick me into thinking it was finally time for shorts.
I started wearing them last week⌠but spent most of the week walking around in shorts and a sweater while the wind reminded me it was still May in Maine.
Memorial Day weekend brought plenty of activity around the Valley though, and now we roll into a week filled with local music, community events, markets, and the stuff that makes us love it here â blue sky, green grass, and warmer temperatures for days on the lake and at camp.
This issue comes to you with support from Woof LLC, our trusted local dog daycare, boarding, and grooming partner. We appreciate their support of truly local community news.
